Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is provided for general informational purposes and describes Lifeknox’s current privacy practices. It is not intended to create contractual rights beyond those required by applicable law or expressly stated in our Terms of Use.
Lifeknox is an early-stage product, and our features, vendors, security measures, and data practices may change over time. We will update this Privacy Policy when our practices materially change.
Although we use reasonable safeguards designed to protect user information, no online service, database, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for using Lifeknox carefully, maintaining strong passwords, enabling available security features, limiting access to their own devices, and deciding what information is appropriate to store in the service.
This Privacy Policy does not replace any rights or obligations provided by applicable law.

Effective Date: June 28, 2026

Lifeknox respects your privacy. Lifeknox is designed to help you organize important life information in one place. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, when we may share it, and what choices you have.
This Privacy Policy applies to Lifeknox at https://my.lifeknox.io/login and any related Lifeknox websites, products, features, or services that link to this Privacy Policy.
Lifeknox is an early-stage product. We are building the service with privacy and security in mind, but no online service can guarantee perfect security. Users should use Lifeknox thoughtfully and should not treat any online service as a substitute for their own careful judgment, strong passwords, secure devices, and appropriate backups.

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
-
your name;
-
your email address;
-
your password or authentication credentials;
-
information you choose to store in your Lifeknox vault;
-
information you choose to share with other users through Lifeknox sharing features; and
-
communications you send to us.
Your Lifeknox vault may include sensitive personal information, depending on what you choose to store. This may include codes, passwords, vehicle identification numbers, job information, emergency contacts, personal instructions, pet information, veterinary information, pet medical information, and other information you choose to add.
In the future, Lifeknox may support additional categories of information, including family information, medical information, estate planning information, and other life-organization tools.
We may also collect limited technical information automatically when you use Lifeknox, such as IP address, device information, browser type, log information, usage information, error reports, security events, and similar information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

2. Vault Content
The information you place in your Lifeknox vault belongs to you.
Lifeknox is not built to mine, sell, or exploit your vault content. We do not sell your vault content. We do not use your vault content for targeted advertising. We do not review your vault content for marketing purposes.
Lifeknox is designed so that vault content is protected and access is limited. However, Lifeknox is still an early-stage product, and we do not represent that every category of metadata, technical information, account information, or service-provider information is inaccessible to Lifeknox or its service providers.

4. Account Security and Encryption
We use reasonable physical, technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
Lifeknox uses encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Information transmitted through Lifeknox is protected using TLS/HTTPS. Lifeknox currently uses Firebase/Google infrastructure for certain authentication, hosting, database, or related services.
We may also use authentication tools, access controls, logging, monitoring, and other safeguards to help protect the service.
We may offer two-factor authentication or other additional security features. If two-factor authentication is available, we encourage users to turn it on.
No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your own account, including by using a strong and unique password, keeping your login credentials confidential, enabling available security features, limiting access to your devices and browsers, and signing out when using shared or unsecured devices.

5. Password Reset and Account Recovery
Lifeknox may allow users to reset passwords through a “forgot password” or similar account recovery function. Account recovery may require verification through email, authentication tools, two-factor authentication, or other security checks.
Depending on how the service is configured, password reset may not restore all forms of encrypted information if access depends on credentials, keys, or authentication methods that Lifeknox cannot recover.
Users should maintain their own backup practices for critical information.

6. Sharing Features
Lifeknox may allow you to share certain information with people you choose, such as family members, emergency contacts, fiduciaries, lawyers, executors, pet caretakers, or other trusted individuals.
You control the information you choose to share. You are responsible for making sure the people you share with are authorized to receive that information.
If you share information with another person, we are not responsible for how that person uses, stores, copies, discloses, or protects the information after receiving access from you.

7. We Do Not Sell Your Email Address
We do not sell your email address.
We may use your email address to operate your account, send service-related communications, respond to you, provide security notices, and send optional marketing communications if permitted by law. If we send marketing emails, you may unsubscribe from those emails.

8. We Do Not Sell Your Vault Content
We do not sell your vault content.
We do not use your stored vault content for advertising. We do not share your vault content with advertisers. We do not disclose your vault content to third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy, such as when you direct us to share it, when necessary to operate the service, when required by law, or when needed to protect Lifeknox, our users, or others.

9. Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers to help us operate Lifeknox. These may include providers for hosting, authentication, database services, analytics, email delivery, customer support, security, payment processing, and other operational needs.
Our current or future service providers may include Firebase/Google and, if payment features are added, a payment processor such as Stripe or another payment provider.
Service providers may process information only as needed to provide services to Lifeknox or as otherwise permitted by their agreements and applicable law.

10. Payments
Lifeknox does not currently collect payment information directly.
If paid features are added, payment information will likely be processed by a third-party payment processor. Lifeknox does not intend to store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials directly.
Payment processors may collect and process payment information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

11. Cookies, Tracking Tools, Advertising, and Opt-Out Choices
Lifeknox may use cookies, pixels, software development kits, analytics tools, log files, and similar technologies to operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the service.
These tools may help us remember user preferences, keep users signed in, understand how users interact with Lifeknox, identify errors, prevent fraud or misuse, measure performance, and improve the service.
We do not use your vault content for targeted advertising.
Lifeknox does not currently sell Personal Information. Lifeknox does not currently use vault content for advertising or retargeting. If we later use targeted advertising, retargeting pixels, cross-context behavioral advertising, or similar advertising technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required notices and choices.
You may be able to limit cookies or tracking tools through your browser or device settings. Some features of Lifeknox may not work properly if cookies or similar technologies are disabled.
Lifeknox does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

12. Legal Requests and Safety
We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is required or permitted by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, legal process, or government request.
If Lifeknox receives a legal request for user information, the information we can provide may depend on the nature of the request, the information we maintain, and the technical protections applied to the information.
We may also disclose information when we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Lifeknox, our users, or others.

13. Business Transfers
If Lifeknox is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
If this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users before their Personal Information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy or materially different privacy and security practices.

14. Data Retention
We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Lifeknox, maintain user accounts, operate and secure the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, collect amounts owed, and support ordinary business operations.
For example, we may retain account profile information and login credentials for as long as you maintain a Lifeknox account. We may retain device, IP address, log, and security information for as long as reasonably needed to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Lifeknox.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify your Personal Information, subject to legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention, and operational retention needs.
Deleted information may remain in backups, logs, or archived systems for a limited period before being deleted in the ordinary course.
We may retain information in aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized form where it no longer reasonably identifies you.

We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request. We will use information provided in connection with a privacy request only to verify and respond to that request, except as otherwise permitted by law.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law. However, some information may be necessary to provide Lifeknox. If you ask us to delete or stop using information that is necessary to provide the service, some features may no longer be available.
